I adore
Audrey Hepburn, my all-time favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Audrey redefined acting; she redefined fashion, and redefined what being a
starlet actually meant. Through a long and fruitful career, she not only
impressed everyone by the skill of her craft and unquestionable beauty; she
also made a long lasting impression on everyone by the things she said. Her
words left a mark in acting, in politics, in fashion and even in social
affairs. Whenever Audrey Hepburn spoke she inspired millions of people
through her words, which seemed so simple (and even shallow at times) but were
in fact so complex and profound. Through her quotes, she gave people hope: hope
of a better tomorrow; hope of finding true love; hope that miracles actually
exist; hope that things can change. Hepburn was somewhat of a dreamer, but what
made her so remarkable was that she always managed to make others share her
dreams, to share her vision. She once said that she believed in pink. For
many this statement is absurd, but not for me. I know exactly what she meant.
Believing in pink meant believing in love, believing that people were naturally
good; pink was the color she envisioned the perfect world could be, and given
she believed that such a world could be built, she naturally believed in pink.
To this day, people remember her movies, her accomplishments, her generosity,
her morals, her style, and above all, her beautiful persona. This quote is my
philosophy of life. My parents always raised me to feel empowered, strong,
confident, and happy no matter what the situation is. I even had this canvas
made to look at every day.
